About Me
I’m Janette Muñoz, founder of Lunix Leadership.
My work sits at the intersection of leadership and organizational design. I partner with leaders and organizations to shape how work happens, how decisions are made, and how people experience work within those systems.
I’ve spent over 15 years working across startups and global organizations, supporting leadership development and organizational effectiveness. My work is grounded in both practice and research, with a focus on how leaders show up in moments of complexity.
Alongside my work, my research explores the role of self-compassion in leadership effectiveness. Through interviews with leaders, I examined how self-compassion shapes decision-making, emotional regulation, and relationships at work. This work has evolved into a framework connecting self-compassion practices to leadership behavior and organizational outcomes.
Through Lunix Leadership, I integrate the systems leaders operate within with the internal capacity required to lead effectively, informed by mindfulness and neuroscience. I’m particularly interested in how leadership and organizational design influence culture, performance, and the broader human experience of work.
A personal turning point deepened this work. Navigating a cancer diagnosis reshaped how I think about leadership, resilience, and internal capacity. It reinforced the importance of how we relate to ourselves and how that shapes the way we lead others.
Outside of work, I value time with family, travel, and experiences that bring presence and joy.
